Darren Yu, Co-President of the England Student Chapter. Darren is a dedicated swimmer at Eton College, currently in Year 11, and part of both his county and school swim teams, holding multiple trophies, school records and currently being the top swimmer in his school.
He has trained all across the world , such as in Hong Kong, Shanghai and the UK, and is adamant about sharing his experiences with others so that they can both train more efficiently and enjoyably, through preventing injuries and through more scientific methods.

Outside of swimming Vicky has done competitive gymnastics for 6 years with Rochester Gymnastics Academy's competitive teams. She has competed at several local meets, state meets, and a few regional championships. Overall Vicky wants to help raise awareness about the urgency to be safe and cautious while preforming and playing sports for high schoolers and with she hopes her involvement with Safe Strong Sport help athletes grow and improve.

Vicky Yu, Co-President of the New York Student Chapter. Vicky is currently a freshman at Pittsford Mendon High School, Pittsford, New York. She competes on the Pittsford Varsity Girls Swim Team and has swam at several local high school duel meets as well as qualifying for Sectionals and placing. She also has qualified for the NYSPHSAA state meet and swam. Outside of the high school team, Vicky also swims for PACK and has completed for many years at several local meets. Vicky also has won first place in multiple events at the Age Group Niagara Championships throughout her years of swimming. Furthermore Vicky has also qualified and participated in the Eastern Zone meet and IMX games and is hoping to attend the Age Group NCSAs this spring.

As a competitive club softball player and a varsity athlete since her freshman year, Kayla brings valuable firsthand experience in injury prevention, recovery, and safe training practices. Beyond her own athletic participation, she has volunteered as a coach for younger softball players, where she emphasizes proper warm-up routines, safe mechanics, and basic injury-prevention strategies. Her experiences have strengthened her commitment to promoting youth athlete safety and education, and she aspires to pursue a future career in sports medicine. In her free time, she enjoys training at the gym, following sports on ESPN, and baking.

Kayla Lee, Co-President of New Jersey Student Chapter. Kayla is currently a sophomore enrolled in a four-year Sports Medicine and Injury Prevention program at the Bergen County Institutes for Science and Technology at Northern Valley Demarest High School. Her coursework includes athletic training, anatomy and physiology, and upcoming studies in movement and performance, providing her with a strong academic foundation in athlete care and injury prevention.

Ethan Zhang, President of the Washington State Student Chapter. Ethan is an 8th-grade student at The Overlake School, where he serves as Middle School President. In this role, he represents his peers, collaborates with faculty, and helps lead initiatives that strengthen student engagement and community involvement. Ethan is also a competitive soccer player for Crossfire Premier B11 Academy ECNL. In 2025, his team won the U14 National Championship in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), competing at one of the highest levels of youth soccer in the country.
Through competing in a high-performance environment, Ethan has developed a strong appreciation for injury prevention, recovery, and long-term athlete development. He understands that peak performance is built not only through training and competition, but also through disciplined off-the-field habits such as strength work, mobility, nutrition, and rest.
As both a team athlete and student leader, Ethan is eager to contribute to injury prevention initiatives that educate and support young athletes. He hopes to combine his leadership experience and competitive background to promote smarter training habits, reduce preventable injuries, and help others stay healthy and perform at their best.

Jaxon loves to compete on the field, but he also loves to compete in the classroom and do as well as possible. Academics remain a top priority for Jaxon, even though he focuses heavily on lacrosse. Jaxon really loves his math, science, and economics classes and has started thinking about studying business or economics. He valued the opportunity to mentor younger kids and gained meaningful lessons about patience, communication, and positive leadership.
Recently, Jaxon was selected to join the ASFL All-Star lacrosse Game, which raises funds for cancer research through the lens of athletics. Jaxon hopes to inspire change by using his athletic ability and the platform that he has. He hopes to help in all different ways, including helping youth and underprivileged kids get into sports and fundraising for a greater cause.

Jaxon Lin, Co-President of the Connecticut Student Chapter. Jaxon Lin is a student-athlete at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut. He competes in lacrosse and previously competed in football and basketball. Before arriving at Choate in his fourth‑form year, he developed his athletic foundation with local club teams and his former high school program. Growing up, Jaxon wasn’t naturally athletic and didn’t initially enjoy lacrosse. That changed when he made a personal commitment to train every day one summer to become the best version of himself. He started putting in more work and honing his lacrosse craft.

Jeremy Liu, Co-President of the Tennessee Student Chapter Jeremy began skating at age 7 and currently represents Tennessee as the only inline skater selected for Team USA in his division. A 13-time gold, 5-time silver, and 3-time bronze U.S. National Champion (combined events not counted), he represented the United States at the Artistic World Championships in Beijing, China, in October 2025.
Through years of high-level training and competition, Jeremy has developed a strong awareness of injury prevention, including the importance of proper warm-ups, recovery routines, and listening to his body to maintain long-term athletic health while performing at an elite level.
Outside of skating, Jeremy enjoys playing the flute and is an active member of his school band and the Germantown Youth Symphony. Balancing music and athletics has helped him develop discipline, coordination, and recovery habits that support both performance and injury prevention.

Norden Young, President of the Orlando, Florida Student Chapter. Norden is a sophomore at Lake Highland Preparatory School and a member of the Varsity Wrestling Team, ranked among the top three high school programs in the nation. In 2025, his team earned the National Prep Team Championship and the PNL National Dual Championship.
He has dedicated himself to the sport of wrestling, training with discipline, resilience, and a strong commitment to personal growth. Through years of competition, Norden has developed not only physical strength and technical skill, but also a deep understanding of perseverance, accountability, and teamwork.
Through his athletic journey, Norden has faced the physical and mental challenges that come with a demanding, high-intensity sport, including rigorous training schedules, weight management, and the pressures of competition. These experiences have strengthened his ability to stay focused under stress, support his teammates, and approach challenges with determination and integrity.
Beyond athletics, Norden is committed to contributing positively to his school community. He hopes to use the leadership and discipline he has gained through wrestling to serve as a role model for younger students and to support initiatives that promote perseverance, respect, and school spirit.

During a national tournament last year, Andrew suffered a meniscus tear in his left knee, an injury that temporarily forced him to step away from the sport he loves. Undergoing knee surgery followed by four months of rehabilitation and physical therapy tested his patience and resilience. This period away from competition gave Andrew a deeper appreciation for listening to his body, committing to proper warm-up and recovery routines, and prioritizing strength and conditioning. He also gained a stronger understanding of how correct movement patterns and technique are essential for injury prevention at an elite level. The experience ultimately strengthened his mental toughness and reshaped his approach to training, allowing him to return to the court with greater awareness, discipline, and respect for long-term athletic health.
Beyond competition, Andrew is passionate about giving back to the volleyball community. He has coached young beginners at a local volleyball school and co-organized a summer camp with friends, where he learned to adapt his teaching style to support players who struggled with drills. Through coaching, he discovered that leadership—like playing—requires patience, empathy, and a willingness to grow alongside others. His service work with Club Dust, helping build homes for families in need, further reinforced his belief in teamwork and the power of organized efforts to create meaningful change. Across academics, athletics, and service, Andrew strives to uplift those around him through integrity, resilience, and thoughtful leadership.

Andrew Guo, President of the Northern California Student Chapter. Andrew is a sophomore at Archbishop Mitty High School in California and a dedicated student-athlete with a strong commitment to teamwork, leadership, and continuous improvement. He has played competitive volleyball since the age of ten with Bay to Bay, one of the nation’s top boys’ volleyball clubs, earning multiple medals at national tournaments. Andrew has been a starter on Archbishop Mitty’s varsity volleyball team since his freshman year, contributing to a NorCal championship title and a silver medal finish at the California State Finals.

Boys and Girls' athletic directors enthusiastically embraced SafeStrongSport mission. We are finalizing plans to launch specialized workshops for their coaches, staff, and young athletes, focusing on practical injury prevention strategies.

Boys and Girls Club and SafeStrongSport organization partnership, We're thrilled to report a major breakthrough in our outreach efforts. Our Oregon Student Chapter President, Teddy Di, recently secured an immediate commitment from the Corvallis Boys and Girls Club to integrate SafeStrongSport's Injury Prevention program.

Evalyn (Eva) Ferguson, President of the Denmark Student Chapter
Eva is an 8th-grade student at Pacific Trails Middle School. She has been a competitive swimmer with Rancho San Dieguito in California for over seven years, training with the team’s top group. Eva has qualified for and competed in numerous sectional and zone-level swimming events across the country. In addition to swimming, she has participated competitively in figure skating, tennis, dance, and golf.
Throughout her athletic career, Eva has faced and overcome many challenges related to sports injuries and safety. She has experienced injuries from sports equipment as well as skin, hair, eye, and physical issues caused by chemical exposure and extreme training environments. Practicing in intense heat and cold, as well as in chlorine and saltwater, has given her firsthand insight into the physical risks young athletes face and the importance of injury prevention, proper protection, and heightened safety awareness in sports.
As a dedicated athlete and leader, and in honor of her father’s Danish heritage, Eva is committed to promoting sports injury prevention and safety education among youth athletes. Through her role at the Denmark Student Chapter, she aims to raise awareness and encourage safer training practices for students and friends in Denmark, helping young athletes participate in sports more safely, confidently, and sustainably.

Student Fernan Sofia expressed his appreciation to the SafeStrongSport organization for the donation.

Student Evani Achivala from the Confucius Institute at Agostinho Neto University expressed his appreciation to SafeStrongSport using his newly learned Chinese from the Confucius Institute.

Students were excited to receive the shin guards and soccer socks donated by SafeStrongSport.

With the support of the Director of the Instituto Confúcio at Agostinho Neto University, SafeStrongSport members connected with students at the Instituto Confúcio. SafeStrongSport donated soccer balls, basketballs, hats, soccer socks, jump ropes, wristbands, and shin guards to students in Luanda, Angola.

Thomas Di Lamond, President of the Canada Montreal Student Chapter
Thomas has been skiing for over six years and is very familiar with ski hills. In his early years of skiing, he experienced several minor accidents, which helped him understand the importance of staying safe and skiing within his comfort zone. He has also witnessed many skiers being taken to medical services at ski resorts due to a lack of proper precautions. Motivated by these experiences, Thomas hopes to use his passion for skiing to raise awareness about safety and help reduce sports-related injuries among young athletes.
Thomas will attend Sainte-Anne Lachine next year. In addition to skiing, he has a strong interest in science and has been accepted into the SCIMATIC program, which combines science and mathematics. Just as in science, Thomas believes that safety and caution are essential in sports to ensure everyone’s well-being.

Anita Tu, Co-President of the Florida Student Chapter
Anita is a high school junior and a nationally recognized tennis player who ranks 86 on ITF worldwide and Blue Chip recruit, she has achieved strong results in USTA national championships and high-level junior tournaments. Throughout her competitive career, Anita has experienced and managed sports-related injuries, which led her to deeply understand the importance of injury prevention, proper training, and recovery. She hopes to use her experience as an elite athlete to educate and inspire other young athletes to compete at a high level while prioritizing long-term health and well-being.

Ryan, Teddy, Luke and Jun had a discussion on hosting in-person clinics to provide hands-on instruction and direct community engagement. In addition, they plan to collaborate with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs to reach underserved communities and expand access to sports safety education. As part of this effort, SafeStrongSport organization aims to donate injury-prevention supplies to more underserved communities to help young athletes stay healthy, safe, and active.

Thanks to the support of a local church in Lagos, Nigeria, SafeStrongSport was connected with community high school soccer players in Lagos, Nigeria. SafeStrongSport donated foam rollers, resistance bands, shin guards, and other injury-prevention equipment to the players. The students and their families gathered to take a group photo in appreciation of SafeStrongSport’s generous donation.

Teddy, President of Oregon Student Chapter, had a discussion with Singapore students to promote SafeStrongSport injury prevention educational workshops and outreach initiatives.

Through both individual and team-based pursuits, Alice has developed leadership skills and a strong sense of responsibility. Sports and music have taught her the value of perseverance, balance, and dedication, as well as the importance of maintaining safe and respectful environments.
Alice is committed to advocating for sports safety and athlete well-being. She hopes to educate and support others by promoting positive, responsible, and healthy participation in athletics.
